JUNE 21 – 7 CATS SWING
The 7 Cats Swing entertains audiences with the best jazz and swing standards from the 30s to the 80s, playing familiar American Songbook charts recorded by Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, and Nat King Cole (to name a few), in swing, Latin, and blues.
JUNE 28 – THE BACKYARD BAND
The Backyard Band specializes in fun, danceable rock ‘n roll that isn’t afraid to throw in the occasional polka medley or country anthem.
JULY 5 – CORNBREAD HARRIS AND FRIENDS
Cornbread Harris, a singing pianist-composer, was inducted in the Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame in 2012, and won a Sally Award in 2014. Playing classic R&B and blues, his earliest influences were in country music, citing Hank Williams Sr. and Gene Autry among his favorites.
JULY 12 – JAZZ ON THE PRAIRIE BIG BAND
Jazz on the Prairie Big Band is an 18 piece jazz orchestra, performing high-energy, big band classics from the 40s swing era. Their big sound and driving beat will get toes tapping and bodies swaying!
JULY 19 – THE FABULOUS FAIRLANES
The Fairlanes have been delighting audiences for more than 20 years with a unique blend of doo-wop, R&B, and pop songs from the 50s and 60s. The quartet’s sweet a cappella sound invites listeners to sing along with their favorite tunes.
JULY 26 – ECUADOR MANTA
Ecuador Manta, an Andean band, originates from the small village of Atahualpa in Ecuador, South America. This group has created their unique music style over the years by using the traditional rhythms from Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Colombia and combining them with more contemporary Latin and Caribbean rhythms.
AUGUST 2 – BRIO BRASS
Brio Brass is a non-traditional, rockin’ brass band. The band performs their own unique arrangements, and their large repertoire features a broad spectrum of musical styles. Audiences are entertained with fluid ballads, pop of all eras, show tunes, funky rock, and lots of jazz.
AUGUST 9 – EVERETT SMITHSON BAND
Everett Smithson Band band brings you music from up and down the Mississippi. Zydeco (swamp rock), Tex-mex, blues, and funky roots of all kinds. Every show is like a riverboat party trip from Brainerd to the Bayou. New Orleans/French Quarter music is what you will hear, everything from 1900 to the present time.
